 DESCRIPTION:

The one-day course represents a transformative journey for participants. It allows them to delve into the intricacies of speaking and listening, honing their abilities in diverse communication situations. Based on extensive research in challenging environments, this workshop concludes with an in-depth exploration of 12 essential listening tools.

 LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

By the workshop's conclusion, participants will:

  • Articulate effective speaking and listening techniques, reducing stress and promoting understanding.
  • Select optimal tools and techniques for diverse communication scenarios with coworkers, managers, friends, and family.
  • Showcase how speaking skills can be a cornerstone for building strong relationships.

  • Develop a personalized action plan for continual improvement in speaking and listening skills.

Engage in practical learning with in-class exercises and follow-up at-home practice assignments. The facilitator employs video analysis, practice sessions, role-playing, and case studies to ensure the workshop's objectives are met.

This workshop is tailored for team members, family members, employees, employers, supervisors, assistants, and anyone seeking to enhance their communication skills in various contexts.

 

COURSE DELIVERY APPROACH

  • This One-day course is delivered on-line instructor-Led, live on zoom.
  • The sessions are interactive, participants’ contributions are expected and welcomed.
  • The day is divided into Sections, varies between an hour to two hours
  • Each session includes lecturing c/w examples, learning activities and group discussions.
  • Be prepared to share your opinion to enhance common understanding.
  • There is a 10-minute break every hour.

 

COMPUTER SYSTEM NEEDED

  • Desktop/laptop is required. Dual monitors are recommended. No phones please.
  • A microphone, speaker, and webcam are required.
  • Be prepared to share your camera to enhance communication and understanding.
  • High speed internet connection is recommended.
  • Familiarity with google documents and sheets are recommended.

 

DELIVERY SCHEDULE

Course start at 8:30 AM and ends at 4:30 PM with one hour lunch break

Morning Session: Speaking Skills:

  • Considerations when speaking and speaking non-defensively.
  • Twelve speaking skills: A comprehensive exploration.
  • Engage in individual and team exercises to reinforce learning.
  • Craft a Personal Action Plan for continuous improvement.

 Afternoon Session: Listening Skills:

  • Grasp the importance of active listening.
  • Distinguish between listening and speaking.
  • Explore different levels of listening and identify barriers to effective listening.
  • Guidelines for effective listening and twelve active listening skills.
  • Differentiate basic and advanced listening skills.
  • Participate in individual and team exercises to strengthen learning.
  • Develop a Personal Action Plan for ongoing enhancement.
